Privacy Policy

This policy explains the limited information involved when you browse Emerald Coast Atlas or use its interactive features.

Last updated August 14, 2026

Information involved in a visit

Like most websites, the hosting and security systems that deliver the Atlas may process standard technical information such as an IP address, browser type, requested URL, timestamp, and security signals. This information supports delivery, reliability, and protection of the site.

Saved places and browser storage

If you use the save or compare features, your selected public place details are stored in your browser's local storage so they can remain available when you return. That shortlist stays on your device unless you clear it through the site or your browser settings. It is not an account profile and does not require your name or email address.

Maps and outside services

Interactive maps require map tiles and related resources supplied by MapTiler and use map data credited on the map, including OpenStreetMap. When your browser requests those resources, the provider may receive standard connection information. Their handling of that information is governed by their own privacy terms. Links to other websites are also governed by the policies of those sites after you leave the Atlas.

Analytics and advertising

The Atlas does not currently load a third-party advertising or audience-tracking script, and it does not intentionally set advertising cookies. If that changes, this policy will be updated to explain the service and the choices available to visitors before the change is treated as part of the published experience.

Policy changes

We may revise this policy as the Atlas changes. The date above identifies the current published version.
