Hideaway Bay Drive runs along the waterfront, and Bayside Park Circle loops off the main drive near the community park. Because it is tucked off the parkway yet still inside the resort, everyday errands and outings are close at hand - the bay and the Gulf beach, the restaurants and shops of Baytowne Wharf, and the Silver Sands outlets just outside the gate.

Like the rest of Sandestin, Bayside is built for low-car living. Cart paths and walking trails thread the resort, and a tram runs residents over to the white-sand Gulf beach, so much of daily life here happens on foot, by bike, or by golf cart rather than by car. When you do drive, Emerald Coast Parkway - U.S. 98 - is the regional spine just to the south: Destin lies a short way west, and the beach towns of 30A begin to the east. Bayside's tucked-away position off the parkway is part of its appeal; you arrive on purpose, and the through-traffic stays out on the highway.

Bayside suits families and year-round or second-home residents who want a settled, quiet, bay-side neighborhood with a real sense of community - its own pool, tennis, playground, dock, and pavilion - while keeping the full reach of Sandestin behind the same gate.
